Social Care Circle – Trusted Carer Status

Those who are a trusted carer can register with us as members of our clients’ Circle of Care by creating an account on our secure portal.

Their ‘trusted carer’ status enables them access to a client’s information. This includes benefit letters, bank statements and other financial records which may assist carers in better supporting their clients. Trusted carers can also make money requests, upload documents and send secure messages via our portal or smartphone app.

CQC registered managers and other relevant authorities can nominate up to four trusted carers in addition to themselves, to be added to the client’s circle of care. Primary administrators can add and remove trusted carers directly through their own Money Carer accounts.

For additional client security, the system requires managers to approve requests over a set amount before submission. This provides an extra layer of protection for both the client and care organisation. For auditing purposes, this also represents best practice with regulators.

For more information about this process, our secure portal can be accessed here.
