Banking designed around real life
Monika is our own banking platform, built in-house by Money Carer’s software engineers and delivered in partnership with Zempler Bank. It gives clients and their support circles a simple, secure way to manage everyday money — with safeguarding built into every account.
From balance limits and fraud alerts to shared prepaid cards and document storage, every feature is designed to promote independence while keeping people protected.
Banking you and your clients can trust
Every Money Carer account is provided through Zempler Bank, a fully authorised UK bank. Eligible deposits are protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS), and there are no fees to open or run the account — so more of the money stays where it belongs.
Banking Services FAQs
Who are the accounts for?
Our accounts are designed for vulnerable adults with support needs and for the people who help them — family carers, appointees, deputies, social workers and support providers. The platform is built to make everyday money management simple and secure, whatever level of support someone needs.
How much does it cost?
There are no opening or maintenance fees. The account is free to open and free to run, so there are no monthly charges to worry about.
Is the money safe?
Yes. Accounts are provided through Zempler Bank, a fully authorised UK bank, and eligible deposits are protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) up to £120,000 per person.
On top of that, safeguarding features such as automated balance limits, personalised fraud alerts and entry onto the Vulnerability Registration Service database help keep clients protected.
Can carers and appointees help manage the account?
Yes. The platform is built for support circles. Prepaid spending cards can be issued to carers and supporters, documents can be stored and shared securely, and balance limits give everyone confidence that money is being managed safely.
How do we open an account?
The quickest way to get started is to make a referral or request a callback below. A member of the Money Carer team will talk you through the options and help set up the most suitable account for the person you support.
