A Modern
and Independent
Appointeeship Plan
Daily money management for
vulnerable people living in their own
home or in supported living accommodation.
Comprehensive Appointeeship Plan
Overview
Our comprehensive appointeeship plan is our most popular appointee service. It provides a wide range of money management support for vulnerable people living in their own homes or in supported living accommodation.
This in-depth, modern, and multifaceted money management plan surpasses other organisations. Importantly, it is delivered at a considerably lower cost due to a combination of our experience and our substantial investment in Monika, our proprietary banking and money management platform, which keeps our administration costs lower.
Our investment in technology and innovation is just one of the reasons why we have been selected as a finalist in the forthcoming 2024 Card and Payments Awards in the Social Inclusion in Financial Services category. and we we selected to represent Best Practice and Innovation in the Financial Services category of the 2018 Parliamentary Review.
Our scale and systems have benefitted our clients as we have not had to implement a price increase in over 5 years. In many cases, our service fee is often deducted from the amount our clients pay as an assessed care contribution to local authorities as our support is accepted as a legitimate disability-related expenditure (DRE) making our service free of charge in practice when applied.
Getting Started
Leveraging our experience and technology we can put in place a robust money management plan that provides a protective shield around our client regarding their everyday financial matters. This typically starts with us opening a separate bank account in their name on our banking platform to receive their main welfare benefits and also opening additional, linked, bank accounts to receive and separate their housing benefit payments, and to have separate accounts for carers to be able to access spending money for shipping and for our client to receive a personal allowance for their own spending decisions.
If our client receives a direct payment for their care support, we can also receive and manage the direct payment at no extra charge as part of the comprehensive plan.
The table below details the features that form our comprehensive appointee service plan.

** Please note, some organisations are charging clients more than £250 per year to manage motorbility scheme responsibilities. We do not agree with this practice as we see the management of a person’s motorbility scheme to be a standard element of a DWP-approved appointee and should not attract additional fees as a motorbility car is funded from the mobility element of an individual’s disability benefit.
*** We are concerned that some appointeeship providers are advertising debt management services. This is an FCA regulated activity and should not be undertaken if FCA permission and regulation has not been granted.
**** We are concerned that some appointeeship providers are stating that they will manage other income streams outside of benefit receipts. Appointees do not have the legal authority to manage any income streams other than welfare benefit payments.
